Thermodynamic Designer

Role Statement 

Design new products or improve existing ones, specifically for mechanic/thermodynamic aspects, in line with quality and time/costs targets, always balancing the needs the needs coming from the market and the constraints of production / industrialization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Defines the technical specifications of the products, in line with the instructions from the Engineering Director and industry standards in the thermomechanical field. 

Develop and design the product characteristics, with particular regard to the mechanic/thermodynamic aspects, assuming direct responsibility for choice and sizing of the main components. 

Coordinate and manage all thermodynamic designing of the units by collaborating with Production, Sales and Purchasing. 

Propose innovative solutions for the development of the products, new or existing ones, working together with the designers in the team and the laboratory staff. 

Proactively collaborate with laboratory staff for the execution of the standardized tests to contributes to the continuous improvement of the process and equipment. 

Report the activities of his competence, planning workload and expiring terms under the supervision of the Engineering Director. 

Select the solutions and / or size the main components required for the offer of special products. 

Support manufacturing engineering and provide appropriate tools and techniques to the service organization. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications 

High School Diploma in mechanical field. With a Master degree in Mechanical/Thermodynamic Engineering (BSEE). 

3 to 5 years related experience in the same role, preferably in HVACR business in designing/developing CO2 refrigeration units/chillers/products. 

Deep knowledge of the basics of electrical engineering and electrical rules applied to electrical schemes/components. 

Excellent knowledge of Solid Works and Autocad 2D/3D.
